Nurse Honey and the Tiny Poke
Julie Donelle is a nurse with over 20 years of experience caring for children and families in her community. Through her work, she has seen how a little kindness, comfort, and laughter can help make scary moments feel much smaller.
This story was inspired by the time Julie helped give pediatric vaccinations at a clinic in Guelph, where she met many brave little children facing their worries one tiny step at a time. Their courage and sweet personalities are the heart behind this book.
Julie created the Nurse Honey stories to help children feel safe and a bit more confident during new experiences.
When she is not nursing or writing, Julie also teaches CPR and First Aid, and loves helping others learn how to care for one another.
Nurse Honey and the Tiny Poke was written with love to remind children that even when we feel nervous, we can still be brave.
