"When you inspire a child to make a difference,
and empower them with the tools to do so, the results can be life-changing."

Saplings Kids Club - FAQs

What is the Saplings Kids Club? At Saplings (the children’s branch of One Thousand Trees), we believe that planting small seeds of knowledge, creativity and empathy goes a long way towards empowering our children. Saplings Kids Club is a new initiative that provides elementary school aged children with the opportunity to meet a children’s author, make friends, create crafts inspired by a monthly theme, and learn something new at each gathering.
Where and when does it take place? We meet on a Sunday afternoon (usually the second Sunday of the month) from 2-4pm at Kirtida Kitchen’s new location at 245 Edinburgh Rd S. in Guelph.

What do the kids do each month? Each Kids Club meeting includes a guest speaker, usually an author, and then a craft related to the theme of that month. Each participant also receives a free, signed copy of the “book of the month.”
What does it cost? There is no cost for this program, as we want to ensure that anyone who wishes to attend this program can do so without financial implications.

Do parents/guardians stay, or drop off their kids? An adult is required to stay on site. During that time, they can either take part in the activities, or sit at a table in the restaurant and enjoy a coffee (complimentary) or order some food.
How do I sign up? Email lisa@onethousandtrees.com to register your child each month.
