The Psalms For Our Time
The Psalms in a version we can pray.
The idea for this version of the Psalms originated in late November 2025; it is the fruit of a daily spiritual practice of praying the originals and attempting to rewrite them in a progressive key. It is written for those who cringe at the outdated theology and the tribal imagery, but want to reclaim the powerful images of the Covenant and of God's Dream for humanity.
About the AuthorAndre Auger was born in 1941, got his Licentiate in Philosophy at the Université de Montreal, and his PhD in Philosophy from the University of Guelph. After retiring from a senior management position in student services at the University of Guelph, Andre retrained as a spiritual director and has been a Covenanted Spiritual Companion at Harcourt Memorial United Church since 2005. This book follows four books of theological reflections: So Much to Ponder, Much More to Ponder, Pondering Death and Theosis, and A Book of Prayer.
