DO YOU HAVE A STORY TO TELL?

The tagline on my business card reads "empowerment through storytelling and connection," and it is definitely the reason behind One Thousand Trees.

I am grateful to be able to offer several regular events/opportunities for those with a story to tell.

The Art of Observation

We are excited about this event, happening next month at The Hive in Guelph on Tuesday, April 14.  Consider coming out for an evening of conversation and creativity! There is no charge, but space is limited so registration is required. Email me at lisa@onethousandtrees.com to reserve your spot.

Poetry and Prose Evenings

Early in 2025, I was having lunch with Kathy Sullivan, owner of Café Creperie in Elora. She casually mentioned that she'd always wanted to hold an Authors Evening at the café. "I know authors!" was my response ... and the rest is history! We started holding these monthly events in March of 2025, and they have been picking up momentum ever since!

Our next evening takes place on Thursday, April 23. Click on the poster for information about our guest author!

Words Along the Path writers' group

Another thing I've been asked about often is a group offering encouragement, support, and feedback for writers. In response to those requests, I am now offering, together with Guelph writer Yvonne Raaflaub, an online group for writers of creative non-fiction/memoir. We're hoping to hold the first session sometime in March, so if you're interested in being part of it, please email me directly.
